Request: to add a feature to be able to turn off users' ability to scrub timeline and Mark As Completed for specific courses. This would be as easy as a "force watch" toggle inside the settings that hides the scrub bar and Mark As Completed button until the lesson is watched start to finish. Reason: I have a client who offers a course for divorced parents. HighLevel is perfect for her, but the problem is people are already learning to just skip ahead or immediately Mark As Complete to receive their certificate. As this is a court-mandated course, we really want the ability to FORCE users to watch the ENTIRE video. Obviously we can't control if they background play while watching Netflix, but they are required to complete quizzes between each lesson in an effort to mitigate that. There are ways to do this in Kajabi using custom code, but if HighLevel can implement this it will be a GAME CHANGER.

Adding the ability to use the membership system for restricted content rather than just courses. Instead of only having a course builder when creating products, add a page builder option as well so you can have both courses and pages that are only accessible as part of an offer and can only be accesses through the membership portal.

We are having issues with clients double-purchasing and signing up for the same main product or the same bump-order (subscription) multiple times. Solution: #1 - Don't allow the same email to purchase the same main product or the same bump-order twice. #2 - Notify us in case a double sign-up for a main product or bump order was initiated so that we can manually refund/cancel it.

It would be a supportive to have a feature in courses that automatically transcribes videos and audios that are uploaded in courses as well as, adding timestamps would be amazing. Ideally, these timestamps could be clickable, allowing users to jump to specific sections of the video or audio. However, it would be great if the ability to jump to timestamps could be toggled on or off, giving course creators control over this feature. If clickable timestamps are too complex to implement, simply having the transcription along with timestamps would still be a fantastic improvement. This would make course content more accessible and provide a better user experience for both creators and students.

It would be great to have a survey in a membership to collect information then be able to hide/show sections based on responses. The results need to show up in CRM or, ideally as part of a proposal. It would be amazing build a high-ticket membership area and provide a customized quote based on responses.

Ability to "download" videos to watch for when "offline" (ie. on a plane).

Add a new section to the API to allow CRUD operations for all course information (product, category, and post) in the membership. Ideally expand this more for the new community features as well. At minimum I should be able to create them and update their names, but being able to do html content as well would be even cooler.

Problem: Coaches, consultants, and course creators need a centralized space to store and share resources with their students. Existing options don’t allow students to access all their files, quizzes, and assignments in one place, which is vital for continuous learning. Without a unified resource repository, students have to manually track files and documents, which can lead to disorganization and missed materials. Competitors like Canvas LMS and Google Classroom offer organized file storage and sharing, which ensures easy access to materials and helps students stay on track. If GHL gets this feature before skool, nobody will ise skool Solution: A file and resource repository within GoHighLevel’s community section would allow students to access all their materials in one place. Each student would have a personal folder where teachers or coaches could add assignments, tests, feedback, and resources. They would receive notifications when new materials are shared, creating an efficient and organized learning experience. For example, a digital marketing course creator could store templates and case studies, while a tutor could upload past quizzes assignments and resources with due dates. This feature would not only make GoHighLevel more attractive to educational businesses but also streamline student engagement and access to course materials.

Dear Go High Level Team, I hope you are well. I am writing to submit an urgent and important feature request regarding the Courses area within the platform. At present, when granting access to instructors/teachers within a course, they are given visibility and control over the full course backend. This creates a significant operational and security concern for course providers like ourselves. The Core Issue: We need to assign teachers/instructors to review and mark student coursework and assignments. However, the current system does not allow us to restrict their access to only student submissions. This means that instructors may: Access the full course structure and proprietary content Accidentally modify or delete lessons/modules Duplicate or clone course materials View sensitive intellectual property and backend configurations Feature Request: We strongly recommend implementing a role-based permission system for Courses, specifically introducing a restricted role such as: “Instructor / Marker Access (Restricted)” This role should allow: Access to assigned students only Visibility of submitted assignments and coursework Ability to review, grade, and provide feedback Communication with assigned students (optional) This role should NOT allow: Editing course content Deleting modules or lessons Accessing funnel/backend settings Cloning or exporting course materials Viewing other instructors' or admin-level data Why This Matters: This functionality is critical for any serious education provider operating on your platform. Without it: Course intellectual property is exposed There is a high risk of accidental data loss Scaling with multiple instructors becomes unsafe It limits adoption by professional training institutions Impact: Implementing this feature would significantly enhance: Platform security Usability for education businesses Scalability for multi-instructor programmes Trust in Go High Level as a serious LMS solution Given the nature of our operations and the urgency of onboarding instructors, we would greatly appreciate this being prioritized or at minimum placed on your development roadmap. We are working on a project where the website serves both students and teachers/instructors. Currently, Go High level doesn’t offer native support for Learning Management Systems (LMS)-style role-based user dashboards. We would like to propose this feature to enhance user experience and functionality for education-focused businesses. Requested Functionality: Instructor/Teacher Dashboard: After registration/login, instructors should have a dedicated dashboard Ability to upload and manage their own course content (videos, text, files, etc.) View and manage students enrolled in their courses Optional: Analytics or student progress tracking Student Dashboard: After registration/login, students should access a separate dashboard View only the courses they are enrolled in Continue their progress, download materials, and see announcements or messages Access Control: Dashboards should be role-based (Instructor vs. Student) Conditional visibility and permissions within the portal/community/group Ability to assign roles via form submission, automation, or manual tag Use Case: Perfect for: Online academies Coaching programs Skill-based training businesses Any business using GHL as a learning platform Workarounds Today: Using Communities for role separation Manually tagging users and showing different content blocks LMS tools like Thinkific integrated via Zapier But these are limited and don’t allow instructors to manage their own content inside GHL. Why This Matters: Adding native instructor/student dashboards would open GHL to a huge market of educators, coaches, and creators who currently rely on platforms like Thinkific, Teachable, or Kajabi. It would turn GHL into a true all-in-one solution for course creators.
