Company Object

Optimize GHL CRM for dealing with companies - fix the disconnect between the company under the contact info, and the companies under the company tab
Currently, we have a 'Business Name' field under the contacts that uses {{ contact.company _name }} - however this is just a text field, and has no functionality for structuring out contacts into companies. On the other hand, we have 'Company' tab up the top of the contacts field. In here, we can create companies as separate entities, and then be able to assign contacts to these companies, as well as create tasks and notes for the company. As a lot of businesses are using GHL to deal with businesses, compared to contacts, this functionality is great, and exactly what we want - however it needs to be more integrated into the rest of GHL more. Idea: Be able to choose if we want our account to focus more on dealing with businesses, or with contacts, so that B2B companies are able to use GHL to manage projects etc for companies rather than contacts. This means that we can create opportunities for companies, and be able to set a primary contact for each company, so any messaging goes to the primary contact. The business name field should also be integrated into companies, and the order for adding contacts can be switched around, so you start by entering in the company information, and then you add the contact information under the company - as there are going to be more contacts than companies, so adding the company first makes sense. We also need the feature to be able to add umbrella companies, to have at least one overarching company - for example if we have a franchise that has a corporate contact, and then we also need to have the branches as companies as well, each with their own contacts. This improvements are much needed in order to make GHL the best solution for managing B2B work, and creating an effective CRM for managing different companies, branches, etc. The system is currently confusing, and is not user friendly to have to navigate into the company tab to then add a company - which has no relation to the business name under the contacts, and no way to be able to quickly bulk import companies from the company name field.

Company Object - Custom Fields - Company Activity Feed
I totally agree with all the comments on here, I have a major client who has been waiting for this feature and I had hoped the update rolled out in Labs would address it - but all it did was allow custom fields to be added to a slide in panel under the “Company”tab. This is a basic functionality in all other CRM’s and if we get this right it will open up so many opportunities, the four areas I have spoken to Shaun and Pallavi about are: Custom Fields to show under the Contact / Company tab - it still seems to be locked here and linked to the Company Automation set up - surely if we can add a Custom Field to the Custom Object they should show on the left hand side - exactly the same as the do on a Contact record? And sorted in folders etc. Company Level Activity Feed - again - just the same as in a Contact record - where we can track all conversations with a Contact - all conversations and activity with a Company needs to be in place - as do many people are stating on this thread - in B2B you are talking to multiple contacts in a company and so having one place to see all of these is critical and then the ability to click on a conversation to take you through to Contact level. Company Associations - This seems to have disappeared from the Contact / Company record - There should be an easy way to see every contact associated with a company? It is possible going in to the COmpany by searching the company name and then going in through "Associations" - so the data is there - it is just not that obvious or on the Company record if you go in from a Contact. Company Custom Fields in Forms - Finally we tried adding some of the custom fields from the Company Object into forms and the option does not appear - you can still only choose between Contact or Opportunity fields. Really need this sorting to blow up in the B2B space - keep upvoting and let’s see it happen in Q1 :)
