Optimize GHL CRM for dealing with companies - fix the disconnect between the company under the contact info, and the companies under the company tab

Currently, we have a 'Business Name' field under the contacts that uses {{ contact.company_name }} - however this is just a text field, and has no functionality for structuring out contacts into companies.
On the other hand, we have 'Company' tab up the top of the contacts field. In here, we can create companies as separate entities, and then be able to assign contacts to these companies, as well as create tasks and notes for the company.
As a lot of businesses are using GHL to deal with businesses, compared to contacts, this functionality is great, and exactly what we want - however it needs to be more integrated into the rest of GHL more.
Idea: Be able to choose if we want our account to focus more on dealing with businesses, or with contacts, so that B2B companies are able to use GHL to manage projects etc for companies rather than contacts. This means that we can create opportunities for companies, and be able to set a primary contact for each company, so any messaging goes to the primary contact.
The business name field should also be integrated into companies, and the order for adding contacts can be switched around, so you start by entering in the company information, and then you add the contact information under the company - as there are going to be more contacts than companies, so adding the company first makes sense.
We also need the feature to be able to add umbrella companies, to have at least one overarching company - for example if we have a franchise that has a corporate contact, and then we also need to have the branches as companies as well, each with their own contacts.
This improvements are much needed in order to make GHL the best solution for managing B2B work, and creating an effective CRM for managing different companies, branches, etc. The system is currently confusing, and is not user friendly to have to navigate into the company tab to then add a company - which has no relation to the business name under the contacts, and no way to be able to quickly bulk import companies from the company name field.

Just stumbled over this issue today, and amazed at the way it was "solved" having two separate fields. Only that the Business Name can create a new company, but when I select an existing company, the business name stays empty!? Really strange.
Also, we can't add the connected company name in the contact list as a new column and therefore can not be filtered or found by typing it in, so I am pretty much forced to manually type in the business name as well and risking creating a new company if I don't type it in 100% the same way. Just a big mess!!
At the workshop this week, I was bragging about how GHL has more clients than HubSpot now... yet they knew how to connect contact and company from day one 🙄.
Please GHL team, fix this.

The quick fix on this would be to create the association using a dynamic dropdown. So when companies area added they dynamically show in the Business field dropdown on the contact record. When you select a company it creates the association. Done!
Same thing would apply with other custom objects you create the object, add custom fields then give the user the ability to create a custom field dropdown where they can define the source = new_object.fieldValue
I have created a temporary workaround by dynamically creating a custom field and I use an automation to populate a list. Not an ideal workaround but the current way objects work they are pretty much worthless.

Yet another example of GHL owners not understanding (or caring about) B2B...

Please this. GHL simply does not work with B2B type companies. Example: I do work with a company right now and my point of contact is about to change. Because billing is tied to this point of contact I now have to completely redo my billing with this company under the new point of contact. So stupid that billing can't be attached at the company level, but instead has to be at the contact level. Very unpractical as well if multiple people need access to billing information (such as their accounting, and my point of contact).

Mark Hoffman Yes this is so frustrating and makes it impossible to track!

i agree. and doesn't seem too difficult to have the "Business Name" field updated to the associated "Company" name. or, give us a trigger in workflows where the trigger is "association" of the contact to company, where we could update the contact field "Business Name" with the "Company" name

I even ran the converter to Company Objects and these Personal (non-Company) fields remain.
