Media Library

Larger capacity files and or also a converter/zip utility
It was suggested by Andrew V. (on ticket id 4793470) that I make the below suggestion... I appreciate you clarifying that you are working with "AVI" files. I completely understand your concern regarding the use of zipped files; you are exactly right that if a file is compressed to bypass an upload limit, it would still need to be "unpacked" to be functional within our system, which would then trigger those same size constraints. Perhaps you could charge more for another tier account to offer a way to increase the specific storage or upload thresholds by upgrading your package or license. These limits are standard across the board to ensure optimal performance for all users. Since increasing these caps is not a feature we have available right now, I would love for you to share this as a suggestion on our "ideas board" so our developers can see the demand for higher capacity limits. Regarding your "AVI" files, "AVI" is often a very heavy, uncompressed format. To get these into your Media Library without losing the quality you need, I recommend converting them to "MP4" using a tool like HandBrake before uploading. This often shrinks the file size significantly while keeping the video clear. If the file remains over the limit even after conversion, the best path forward is to host the video on a dedicated service like Vimeo or Wistia and then use the "video element" to embed it directly into your pages. This bypasses our internal upload limits entirely while ensuring your videos load quickly for your viewers. Due to the above we are going to use another site to host a videos so we can have large files and have them in sub-folders as well.
