HighLevel’s townhall meetings are one of the most important touchpoints between the team and the community. They give users a chance to hear directly from the people building the platform, ask questions, and stay connected to the broader ecosystem. As AI tools keep improving, it may feel tempting to automate parts of these presentations. But keeping townhalls primarily human-led will likely serve the long-term health of the HighLevel community much better. Recording from today’s townhall discussion: Why human-led presentations matter for community events Townhalls do more than share updates. They help build relationships and trust. When real team members present, the audience experiences: Authenticity and personality that make the conversation feel real Spontaneous reactions during discussions and live questions Storytelling and context that bring product updates to life Energy and enthusiasm that strengthen community engagement These are moments that automated or AI-generated presentations struggle to replicate. Potential downsides of AI-generated townhalls AI can be incredibly useful behind the scenes. Still, relying heavily on AI-generated presentations for community-facing events could create a few challenges. Lower engagement If a presentation feels automated, viewers may feel less invested in the conversation. Perceived lack of authenticity Community members often value hearing directly from leadership and product teams. Weaker community connection Townhalls work best when they reinforce the idea that real people are building and supporting the platform. Trust concerns Automated communication in community spaces can sometimes feel impersonal, even when the information is accurate. A balanced approach Instead of replacing presenters with AI-generated content, HighLevel could keep townhalls human-hosted while using AI to support preparation and production. AI could assist with: Drafting presentation outlines Summarizing feature updates Creating post-event recaps or transcripts Supporting visual or slide production This approach keeps the human connection front and center while still benefiting from the efficiency AI can offer behind the scenes. HighLevel’s community is one of its strongest assets. Keeping townhalls human-led helps preserve the trust, excitement, and shared momentum that make the ecosystem so valuable as the platform continues to evolve.

I've received a lot of feedback indicating that the current layout is not intuitive, leading to confusion and an increase in customer service requests about navigating to courses. I recommend changing the titles to 'My Courses' and 'Communities' for clarity and simplifying the navigation by removing redundant elements like the shared files section. Additionally, we need to fix the two home buttons, as they create further confusion. Overall, simplifying this page is crucial to enhance user experience.

The ability to communicate with community posts and people through uploading voice messages, in app and desktop :)

Here are some suggested tracking so we can trigger behavior based automations in communities and courses: Engagement triggers in general Big one: drop off averages (when they leave a community or course) trigger campaign hit certain milestones of engagement including posting, commenting, or course lesson completions trigger sequence if they reach certain milestones or levels if we get gamification Link clicking (already have this) Affiliate engagement as it relates to courses and communities (paid) videos watched anything they are consuming in the course or community

Several major upgrades the communities feature can use: Merge communities with memberships…students should have one domain they go to like learn.domain.com and be able to access both support groups in the communities and courses that they have access to in the memberships web app. That being said, the mobile UI is really not good for the communities feature for viewing and posting in groups or even accessing various different buttons that are hidden. Restricted access. At the moment, just about anyone can sign up for communities with a name, email, and password…no need for payment or even to verify that they have a membership with the school already. Would be great to have a restricted group setting where only people who’ve been granted certain offers can access (or other criteria like certain tags). There needs to be a boundary between people who are part of the school and not.

We have a community in Discord where our live chats occur. GHL communities are really more of a forum format. Would be great to have a live chat capability like a Discord, even if it was one channel in a group to provide that fast interaction and notification of a Discord.

We just need a better UX like Skool did the courses. So easy to create and even easier for our clients to consume.

Skool has the ability to setup an Auto DM to go out to new members when they join the community. This would be a great feature to add within our communities.

The ability to have members marked as different to the rest. For my user case, these are experts that would answer questions the general members have. While anyone can answer that, it would be great to be able to have these experts stand. They could also moderate other member comments - in this case, they are medical experts, and some public answers could be incorrect and dangerous.

Skool has this and is definitely needed (see images below) Students get confused on which time zone calls are in when it could be solved automatically by showing all events in their own timezone
