Prospecting Tool

Feature Request: Clickable URL / Link Field Type for Custom Fields (Contacts, Opportunities & Pipeline)
The Gap Prospecting Premium generates valuable links for affiliates and their clients — audit reports, GBP links, LinkedIn profiles, and similar external resources. These links get stored in custom fields on Contacts and Opportunities. But once they land there, the chain breaks: the field renders as plain, non-clickable text. By the time a lead reaches the pipeline — exactly when a rep is on a live call and needs one-click access — the link is inert and has to be copy-pasted into a browser. In short: GHL's own tools (Prospecting Premium) generate this data, but GHL's own UI can't act on it once it's in the system. That's a continuity gap that undercuts the value of tools affiliates are already paying for and relying on. Current Behavior The native Website field on a Contact displays a small clickable icon that opens the URL in a new tab with one click. Custom fields storing URLs — even when populated by Prospecting Premium or entered manually (LinkedIn profiles, audit reports, GBP links) — are TEXT type and render as plain, non-clickable text. Users must manually copy and paste the URL into a browser to use it. Desired Behavior A new custom field data type (URL) that: Renders a clickable external-link icon, matching the native Website field's behavior Opens the link in a new tab with a single click Renders consistently everywhere custom fields are surfaced — Contact detail panel, Opportunity card, pipeline/list views, and smart lists — not just isolated to one screen Ideally supports population from Prospecting Premium report outputs, so links generated upstream stay clickable all the way through to the pipeline Edge Cases to Scope Malformed input: does a non-URL string in a URL-type field render as plain text, or throw a validation error on save? Protocol handling: does the field require http(s)://, or auto-prepend it if missing? Bulk operations: does this field type need CSV import/export mapping support, or is manual entry the initial scope? Why This Matters for Affiliates This isn't a cosmetic ask. Affiliates use Prospecting Premium specifically to generate these links, then rely on Contacts/Opportunities/pipeline to work leads in real time. Right now, the data makes it into the system but loses its functionality the moment it does — forcing a copy-paste detour on every single call. Fixing this closes the loop between GHL's prospecting tools and GHL's CRM core, making the platform affiliates are already promoting and building on measurably more solid. Impact High. This affects any affiliate or sales team using custom fields to store reference links (LinkedIn, audit reports, GBP profiles) for live outreach. Closing this gap improves speed-to-action on every call and reinforces the value of GHL's own Prospecting Premium output once it reaches the CRM

Prospecting Tool Enhancements
You know, as someone who's deep into the agency world, I can't help but think how much more powerful Go High Level's prospecting tool could be with a few key enhancements. Don't get me wrong, it's already a great tool, but there's room to make it even better. Here's what I'm thinking: Hours of Operation : Let's pull this from both Google Business Profile and Facebook Page details. It's not just about knowing when they're open; it's also about spotting inconsistencies in their listings. Suggested Services : Imagine if the tool could recommend specific services or High Level features based on the prospect's needs. No listings? Suggest they claim their GBP. No ads? Time for some PPC magic. Data Inconsistency : We all know inconsistent data can hurt a business's Google ranking. Why not flag these discrepancies right in the report? Ads Check : Are they running social or local ads? Knowing this can help us tailor our pitch. GBP Photos : A simple check to see if they've uploaded any photos to their GBP can tell us a lot about how engaged they are with their online presence. Website Tech : Tools like Wappalyzer do this well, but having it bundled in Go High Level would be a game-changer. 3 Pack Ranking : Knowing where they stand in the Google 3-Pack can provide valuable insights for local SEO strategies. Additional Reports : Let's take a page out of LeadsGorilla's book and add more comprehensive audit reports like SEO, extended Citation, and Core Web Vitals. API or Workflow Access : This one's for us agencies and SaaS providers. Having the ability to create contacts/companies in sub-accounts directly would save us from the headache of data duplication. Each of these enhancements is like a piece of a puzzle that, when complete, would make Go High Level's prospecting tool not just good, but exceptional.
