Descriptions in Service Variations
Current Limitation: When using Service Variations to offer multiple packages under one service, there's no option to add individual descriptions for each variation. This forces us to either: Create separate services for each package (cluttering the service menu), OR List all packages without being able to explain what's included in each one Why This Matters: For photography businesses like ours, we offer 3-4 packages per service category (e.g., Maternity Mini, Maternity + Family, Maternity Print Pack). Each package has different: Session durations Number of images Included products (albums, prints, USBs) Family member allowances Without individual descriptions for variations, clients can't see what they're actually booking, making the variations feature essentially unusable for service-based businesses with tiered offerings. Requested Solution: Add a "Description" field for each variation (similar to how services have descriptions), allowing us to clearly communicate what's included in each package option. Example Use Case: Service: "Maternity Photography" Variation 1: Mini Digital Pack - [DESCRIPTION: 45 min, solo mum, 10 images, 1 gown, USB delivery] Variation 2: Family Digital Pack - [DESCRIPTION: 60 min, mum + partner, 10 images, 1 gown, USB delivery] Variation 3: Print Pack - [DESCRIPTION: 90 min, full family, 25 images, 2 gowns, album + prints included] This would allow service providers to effectively use variations instead of creating dozens of duplicate services. Impact: This enhancement would significantly improve the booking experience for clients and reduce backend complexity for service providers managing multiple package tiers.
