Community 3.0 & Gamification 2.0
in progress
Tyler Hughes
Today the new Community UI was relaunched now with Gamification. The problem with the current implementation is 1) we don't have the ability to link rewards with the levels. I'd love to give my community members free access to my different courses when they hit certain levels. Also it would be great if we could hold live streams in the community via StreamYard and Zoom as noted in this suggestion here:
On the subject of linking the rewards to the levels. From a user experience perspective the easiest way this could be implemented is when you add a new course to the learning section there's a dropdown under Course Access. Currently is is disabled and locked to "All members have access" it would great if this was unlocked and the other dropdown options were "Unlocks at Level 2", "Unlocks at Level 6", etc. Then as people earn their points and hit each level the courses are automatically unlocked. It would also be great if you could make it so that if you link the course to the level if there was also a disclaimer somewhere that upon being removed from the community they would lose access to the course and there be an option for them to still buy the course standalone. This is mostly useful for paid communities where you lose access to all the resources if you leave the community.

Hi all. We are working on more gamification options in the communities. We are bringing the ability to customize the levels and points for your members. We would also be introducing an updated leaderboard in due time. This is likely to be launched by Nov. Stay tuned.

As currently conceived, gamification rewards community participation only.
I would like to require more points for each level.
Maybe as much as 5x more points required per level!
But, reward more behaviors.
In my program some courses are worth 0 points, but others might be 1, 2, or even 3 points (Social Media Sniper by Devin Tracy).
I would also like to reward a login at least once per week just to encourage people to maintain their connection with the community.
Rewarding a login to the live events is obviously something we want. If we didn’t want people to participate we wouldn’t put the events on a calendar.
And, rewarding clicks on the notification email buttons and replying to notification emails has utility for the community owner by increasing email anti-spam indicators to the email service providers.

You can do this with workflows, but yes, it would be nicer if this was easier.
It would also be nice if you could have multiple pricing levels and give your premium members a different ring or badge.

Lock chat until reaching a specified level.

I would love to see the opposite as well: Unlock levels for completing courses (or course modules).
It's a feature that Skool doesn't have that would make Kollab so much more powerful.
For example, something that GHL could uniquely do is award levels in automations based on triggers for custom achievements.

Also love this! I don't see the point of rewards right now to be honest.

I was wondering why that isn't already a thing!
