Email Parser to capture certain type of leads.
S
Shelby Ikeda
an email parser can be used to pull data fields from any kind of machine generated emails such as purchase orders, contact form emails, emails sent by lead providers and many other types. This makes it an efficient and reliable solution for a variety of use-cases.Popular use-cases for email parsing are automating the order fulfillment in e-commerce, automating a lead generation process, centralizing data which is sent by email from different web-forms

Have the system receive an email. Within the email (for example) it has Name: eMail: Phone:
Have the software extract the data to the right of the labels and add to contacts.
Have the ability for the user to define what within the email needs to be extracted. The above example comes from opt in leads that generate an email. I'm thinking I will use Zapier in the mean time.

We get so many leads through various contact forms and third-party tools that all email differently. Having to manually parse these or set up Zapier connections for each one gets tedious fast.

Email parsing through a custom email

I used to have a crm called follow up boss. With every account follow up boss used to have an email specific to that account for example
When we used to put this in any form on any landing page it would automatically grab name, email and phone number and create a lead. the form submission if it had other information, would be created as a note. It was super neat, and no need for zaps etc.

It would be a game changer to be able to parse email body and extract different information from a standard, repetitive email instead relying on Zap, Make or Pabbly. Doing all of this internally in GHL will very useful.

email parser to identify and update EXISTING contact

Email coming into HighLevel from an external software, how does the CRM know which Contact record to update?
Usually the Contact in a Workflow is determined by the sending email address. But in this case it would be the system email address (AP@no-reply<dot>system<dot>biz, or, sys@no-reply<dot>system<dot>biz).
What I want the Workflow to do is read the email (parse the data to find the relevant Contact in the database then perform all subsequent actions on that Contact instead of the initial (system) Contact. Alternatively, initiate another Workflow with the input info from the system email but acting on the human instead of system Contact record.
Use Case 1: email coming from the external system has Contact ID, Opportunity Name, and Contact email along with other relevant data and a link to a password protected data repository. Needs to update the Contact record and Opportunity card and send an email to the Contact with the link.
Use Case 2: email coming from the external system is to the Contact email and cc to the HighLevel account. Needs to update the Contact record with a copy of the attached pdf in Documents.

Lead Parsing Email for Subaccounts to collect leads from different sources

LA lead parsing email that subaccounts can use to capture leads is desperately needed. A lot of lead sources will accept a lead parsing email and this limits the use of zapier.

Also, the parser should have the ability to identify when the email is a routine system notification (someone’s Calendly reminders for example or a notice from Canva of collaboration permissions granted) and not overwrite the real email address for that Contact.
