Allow Setup Fee + Trials in Recurring Invoice Templates

Currently when you have a product with a setup fee or a trial in the recurring invoice template, it does not charge the setup fee or implement the trial. The only solution is separate invoices or creating a check out page.

Also, there's no warning when adding a product with a setup fee or trial that those will not work within a recurring template.

Just spent over 3.5 hours going back and forth with GoHighLevel support, and I need to raise a red flag for anyone using invoice templates for recurring billing.
When you create an invoice template and then use that template for a recurring invoice, setup fees and trial periods do NOT get included and worse, there’s no warning or notification that they’re being excluded. So if you're relying on automation, you could be sending incomplete invoices without realizing it.
Even after I pointed them to a related Ideas post marked as “Completed” over a year ago, they still claimed the functionality is unavailable.  setup fees do work on recurring invoices just not when you're using a template. So the real issue is that templates break the logic, and this forces us to go back to fully manual workflows to charge setup fees correctly.
This chat should absolutely not be marked complete, because it misrepresents the core issue. The conversation drifted toward setup fees in general, when the bug is specific to how template-based recurring invoices exclude setup fees and trials silently.
This is a huge gap, and unless addressed, it makes recurring invoicing through templates unreliable for agencies and SaaS setups.

It would be great if the following features are added to the recurring invoices:

frequency of every 30 days
be able to charge a one-time setup fee and a recurring on the same invoice
if statement for client's location to add sales tax (e.g., if client is located in x state then charge y tax

I thought I was the only one. I find it so weird that the setup fee is not added in. It basically renders the invoice useless. I spent all that time setting up my templates and integrating with agreement only to get sideswiped at the 1 yard line with bad math! I did find a work around w/ separate invoices, but that is just dumb. I hope they fix this.
