IDEA: Add a "TO USER TYPE" called "Send Group SMS"
This enhancement would allow an automated workflow to send (1) internal notification via text message to a group SMS. The SMS group is selected from My Staff Users.
For us, this would be helpful when working remotely we don't know who is available to immediately contact a lead that was generated from a website. With an internal group SMS, the workflow would send the contact information to the group SMS and whoever is available would be able to instantly notify the other members of the group the lead is being worked on.

We've been wanting this for ages. Currently juggling between Slack notifications and individual SMS to team members when hot leads come in. Having group SMS built into workflows would eliminate so much back and forth coordination.

We face this exact scenario daily. Right now we're using Slack for urgent lead alerts but having it built into GHL workflows would streamline everything. Are you currently using any workarounds for team notifications?

At a higher level I think you're just asking for group sms in workflows so we can create and send messages programmatically. Yes?

Jacob Miller, Correct. I believe you are saying the same thing. I want to have GHL send a group SMS from a workflow automation.
