When user has the page open but working on another task on a different tab, the "ding" alert will notify them of a new communication and they can respond immediately. An example would be facebook messages. It will "ding" as soon as a new message come in.

Our team keeps missing messages when we're deep in funnel building or other tasks. The browser tab notification isn't enough when you've got 20 tabs open. Even a simple browser notification would help catch these before leads go cold.

We've lost leads because of this exact thing. Client thinks they're getting notified but they're not, so conversations just sit there while prospects move on to competitors.

Seriously! Why are there no sounds when new communications come in. I can't live in the Conversation tab and people aren't just going to sit in the chatbot waiting for a human. Yes, the AI is good and handles a lot, but there's a time for people to jump in, but I don't get any alerts.
I also would like alerts when SMS messages are sent in. Otherwise it becomes this longwinded conversation spanning hours because I have other things to do besides stare at the Conversation window.

has this feature been added? I would appreciate an update

Checking - in. If the phone doesn't ring --- do we have to do a feature request for that too?
I have a client who just missed 25 live chats from customers because he thought there would be an alert. I don't blame him.
What I hate is GHL feels no pain. They add a feature and sales reps go to town mentioning it so they can get more sales, without telling customers that they are half-baked. Then customers keep paying, holding on for the day that the features they wanted might become the features they thought they were purchasing.
Why is what I say not painfully obvious to every user?
