Import Contacts. Find existing contacts based on.. custom fields.

When importing contacts we run in to an issue when two contacts share email and a phone number. A custom field option would be great and would stop the duplication and errors caused by this.

Right now, while importing ,we can only look for existing contacts by email and phone. Please allow us to use additional options like name and custom fields.

The ability to create a deduplication based on a custom field is very much needed!

This would solve a ton of existing issues with importing when the spreadsheet has contacts who share email and phone. Please implement this.

import contacts matching first and last name

we have a client whose mailing partner provides their tracking numbers via CSV iwht only 2 columns: full name and shipping tracking number. Ideally, we'd upload this into the CRM and once the "shipping tracking number" custom field gets filled out an automatic email goes out to inform the customer their order has been shipped. However, the only way for us to import contacts (or update contacts) as of now is matching through email address. Having either full name or first and last name as matching element would help us A LOT. Thanks
PS: their mailing partner doesn't require email addresses for security reasons.

In the real estate niche, it would be great if we could find existing contacts based on addresses on import. This would be great since we don't always use an email or phone number for contacts, but definitely use the address. Or maybe open it up to custom fields

Why does this not have more votes? I'd like just to be able to find based on address or even company name would be nice. But any custom field would be ideal.
