We propose a significant upgrade to GoHighLevel’s gamification and rewards system to boost user engagement, offer admins more flexibility, and integrate with automation. The current system, limited to three rewards with basic text, restricts customization and motivation. Below are our suggestions to make the feature more robust and engaging.
Increase Reward Quantity
The cap of three rewards limits incentive options. We recommend allowing unlimited rewards or a higher limit (e.g., 10–12). This would enable admins to tailor rewards for diverse communities, such as coaching or business groups, fostering scalability and relevance.
Detailed Reward Customization
Replace single-line descriptions with bullet-point lists for each reward level to improve clarity and appeal. For example:
Level 2 Reward: Active Member
Access to an exclusive video tutorial
30-minute coaching call
Digital profile badge
10% discount on premium features
This format makes rewards more enticing and transparent.
Progressive Higher-Level Rewards
Extend detailed customization to all levels (e.g., Level 3, Level 4). Higher tiers should offer greater value to sustain engagement. For instance:
Level 5 Reward: Community Leader
Full premium course access
VIP live Q&A invitation
Custom badge with priority visibility
Free event ticket
This ensures long-term user motivation.
Automation for Reward Delivery
Integrate rewards with automation workflows for seamless delivery. Examples:
Auto-grant course access upon reaching a level.
Send personalized emails/SMS with discount codes.
Notify users of achievements via in-app alerts.
Allow custom triggers, like rewarding course completion or webinar attendance, for a dynamic system.
Additional Engagement Features
Reward Previews: Show next-level rewards to motivate users.
Flexible Points: Let admins set custom point thresholds per level (e.g., 100 for Level 2, 500 for Level 5).
Diverse Triggers: Reward actions like logins, poll responses, or email opens.
Progress Tracker: Add a visual bar showing points and level progress.
These upgrades would empower admins to build vibrant communities while saving time via automation. Users would enjoy clear incentives, fostering loyalty. This would position GoHighLevel as a leader in community engagement tools, driving retention and growth.

PLEASE! When with this happen?!

As currently conceived, gamification rewards community participation only.
I would like to require more points for each level.
Maybe as much as 5x more points required per level!
But, reward more behaviors.
In my program some courses are worth 0 points, but others might be 1, 2, or even 3 points (Social Media Sniper by Devin Tracy).
I would also like to reward a login at least once per week just to encourage people to maintain their connection with the community.
Rewarding a login to the live events is obviously something we want. If we didn’t want people to participate we wouldn’t put the events on a calendar.
And, rewarding clicks on the notification email buttons and replying to notification emails has utility for the community owner by increasing email anti-spam indicators to the email service providers.

Almost 5 years since the original idea and marked as 'Planned' in December 2023. Any update on when this will happen? I am also an Xperiencify client and would LOVE to at least be able to integrate with it.

Do you know when this will be available? Xperiencify has been awesome with this. You should offer to buy them out and create a win-win for both your companies.

Absolutely agree! Implementing gamification in courses is an excellent way to boost user motivation and engagement. By integrating elements like personalized badges, which can be earned by completing certain percentages of the course or reaching specific points, you create a reward system that not only makes learning more enjoyable but also encourages continuous interaction with the content. This not only helps users feel more involved but also gives them a tangible sense of achievement and progress. Additionally, personalized badges can be a great incentive for users to keep advancing and share their accomplishments, which in turn can attract more people interested in the course. It’s a win-win strategy for everyone! 🎮🏆
