Persistent Leaderboard Points on Sub-Account Level (no reset for returning members)

The current leaderboard points system does not store user progress on the sub-account contact level. This creates a major issue for subscription-based communities where members may temporarily lose access due to failed subscription payments.
In my subscription community, members earn points and advance through levels inside the GHL leaderboard system. However, when a member’s payment fails, their access is revoked. If they later re-subscribe, all of their previously earned points and levels are reset. The system treats returning members as new contacts and starts them again from Level 1, ignoring their past progress.
This breaks the gamification flow, frustrates users, and reduces the value of long-term engagement. Members expect their points and achievements to remain linked to their identity as a contact, not to whether their subscription is currently active.
To fix this, I am requesting permanent storage of leaderboard points and levels on the sub-account contact level, regardless of membership or access status. If a user loses access and later rejoins, their previous points, badges, and levels should automatically be restored. Ideally, there could be a toggle option such as: “Persist points across membership status: Yes/No” so agencies can choose the behavior they want.
Implementing this would create a better user experience, improve engagement and retention, reduce support issues, and significantly increase the usefulness of the leaderboard and gamification features in GoHighLevel communities.

The fact this request is necessary is because the Communities team is operating out of synch from the @Core Platform. Team Kollab, the community isn’t separate from the CRM in our world even though it is in yours. Shaun Clark Chase Buckner Shivam HighLevel Sales & Marketing RevEx Group
