Send internal notification to followers

Right now there's only the option to send an internal notification to assigned user. It would be helpful to send internal notification/email/sms to Assigned User & Followers.

Notifications - Notifications should be sent to followers as well and the owner assigned to, This is a very important feature that needs to be added. To send notifications to th followers, we have to manually go in to the internal message and @Name of the follower for them to receive notice. To much work and we have to be glued to our CRM 24/7. Please add ASAP. Thank you!!

I strongly support the need for this. We have some contacts with several reps working on different aspects of their account, and now we even have employees that are on leave with other employees covering their clients' accounts.
Sending notifications to supplementary employees, or employees providing temporary coverage, would be a huge help.
I believe even with a condition available in workflows (IF "Followed By" Includes "{{user.name}}..."), I could create a reasonable workflow to make sure all followers are notified, but I don't see anything available now outside of a complicated User tagging system to fill in missing native functionality.
And of course just adding an option to "Internal Notification" actions in workflows, "To User Type: Assigned User AND Followers" would be the ideal fix, but I'm considering alternatives to maybe get this implemented!

I like the followers function but there needs to be notifications. The way the assigned user for instance is notified if a prospect or client responds to a text or email is great because it has a direct link to the contacts conversation.
However without being able to add multiple assigned users there is no way to notify 2 people if they respond. You can do this through automation but there is no way to have the conversation link in the internal notification email/sms.
This really becomes an issue when there are a intake person and a sales person on the same contact/opportunity, or when a sales rep goes on vacation and their clients communication needs to be monitored in case of any emergencies.
This seems like a fairly basic feature that alot of other CRM's have.

I have implemented a few different weird workarounds for this and it’s wildly annoying (and quite surprising) this is not a feature yet. I am enthusiastically adding my upvote for this.

I agree, this is a must have any agency that has multiple employees communicating with a client.

Yes please develople this. We need to have the owner of a contact and any followers get notified of communication form the contact.
