New Workflow Trigger for Outbound SMS
J
James Quirante
Currently there is no workflow trigger for when an outbound sms is sent to a customer. This would allow us to take action such as leave notes for an audit trail whenever a customer is reached out to via sms. We currently do this for outbound calls.

Any news about this case? Both for SMS output and for WhatsApp?

This is SOOOO needed. we need to be able to stop the AI or other workflow actions from happening is a real user sends an outbound sms to a contact. Otherwise the AI just text over the top and its a real nuisance. this s the #1 complaint i get from clients: - why can't the AI stop when i send a text to a lead?

I built an app that does this because yeah it's a problem: https://cloudlab.so/stellarr/outb-msgs

Yes, This should also include manual/automated outbound messages as trigger options. Plus have it work for all outbound messages.

An outbound workflow trigger would be a great help to have our own custom AI to be sent to sleep when a manual SMS is sent just like the conversational AI do but we don't have that outbound SMS trigger and unable to do that.

This would allow us to help make our AI bot aware of what its human colleagues were texting. Our current alternative is to make thousands of API requests per day, one for every customer message, to get the latest outbound message, which slows things down and puts unnecessary load on the HighLevel API.

An outbound SMS workflow trigger would also allow us to kill the AI bot if the client wanted to step in and manually reach out to the customer. This would be a tremendously useful feature as the client would no longer have to manually pause and unpause the bot.

It would also be great if you can add a Tag when using a Smartlist and send an Outbound SMS to that list instead of having to make the list, add a tag to the list, and then send the list.
This is an issue because the tag is going to be on all of the list and NOT ONLY the Contacts that were sent by the SMS Process.
We need to know who actually were processed and not just that they were on the list.

Would also be an easy way to track how many texts salespeople are sending daily.
