Conversations should be filtered by default to the user logged in, so each user only sees their conversations and not the entire company's conversations.

change user permissions for only assigned conversations to match only assigned contacts

Accounts should have the possibility of filtering the Level of CONVERSATIONS a user can see. If they have ONLY ASSIGNED DATA checked on their permissions, they should ONLY see CONVERSATIONS of contacts that are assigned to them. Right now i have a problem within my teams, because i can't have a 3 user team discuss a contact, because they can't all see it.

You can set this by logging in as the user and setting their filter settings in conversations to only assigned contacts this filter will persist until removed. Additionally you can set this setting in their profile permission settings.

I don't think it's possible to configure this in the permission settings. For example, if two users exchange SMS with a contact, both users will see all the conversations.
The idea is to ensure the confidentiality of each user's exchanges with the same contact.
Maybe I haven't figured out how to do this yet. If you have a solution, please share the details.

Share Contacts not conversation!
I need to give my sales people/assistant access to contacts to follow up with tasks but I don't want them to read my conversations/emails.

Or ability for user to click a button to only see theirs. I can see benefit of employee being able to see both options

Jeremy P. Maher: You can set this in their profile to see only assigned data, and then you just assign the data to the the user. You can also filter the conversations by setting only the contacts assigned to particular users you wish to see. These filters will stay fixed until you change them just FYI.
