GDPR Cookie Consent Required for HL Website
J
Jeeva Govindasamy
All websites operated by European companies and accepting European visitors must have a popup at the beginning, requiring visitors to consent to the website's use of cookies and allowing them to adjust the settings.
The minimum fine for not complying with this regulation starts at 2 million euros. Please provide a solution for this issue.
We need something like this(https://storejextensions.org/extensions/gdpr.html), but we need to have it on the HL website.

!! Ability for website visitors to Accept or Decline cookies

This was posted a while back and is still an issue!
"This feature to accept or decline cookies is common on most blogs - currently, cookies must be accepted no matter what if a website visitor comes to a blog powered by HighLevel.
In order to enhance compliance, please add a widget that can be inserted into a funnel/website/blog page as a popup in one corner of the screen which requests the website visitor to approve or deny cookies.
If approved, please activate all tracking scripts in Settings > Tracking Code otherwise do not run the tracking scripts."

Extremely important! Please implement it as soon as possible. Most companies in the DACH region have long been seriously aware of the issue of GDPR etc. and reject cooperation in marketing areas if such (basic) solutions do not exist.

Why wasn't the cookie banner rolled out correctly the first time? GDPR is not new!

The cookie banner is not compliant. Customers in the EU are complaining. Why wasn't this rolled out the right way the first time around?

The wonderful GDPR law also requires the cookie settings to be updated. This means the user must be able to access the settings after their first choice. So if someone opts-in to all cookies, this person must be able to open the cookie consent bar again, and change their settings. So the bar hast to be accessed either by a hover icon or with a link in the footer.

Unfortunately, the VP Legal at HighLevel is not very accessible when it comes to the GDPR...
My concerns and advice were also dismissed only half-heartedly and it was said, “it'll be fine.”
Edit: The minimum penalty is not correct. However, even simple proceedings can quickly become very expensive and I believe that very few agencies can afford an expensive legal dispute.
