Ability for website visitors to Accept or Decline cookies

This feature to accept or decline cookies is common on most blogs - currently, cookies must be accepted no matter what if a website visitor comes to a blog powered by HighLevel.
In order to enhance compliance, please add a widget that can be inserted into a funnel/website/blog page as a popup in one corner of the screen which requests the website visitor to approve or deny cookies.
If approved, please activate all tracking scripts in Settings > Tracking Code otherwise do not run the tracking scripts.

This is a good start in the right direction, but still needs a lot of work to be usable in the EU and most other countries.
- It should be possible to categorize cookies in the different groups of cookies, like functional, statistic or marketing. It should also be possible to enable whole groups and also individual cookies. Here's a screenshot: https://share.zight.com/5zuv6nZn
- Like Maria also suggested it's necessary to store and log the consent settings received by the user.
- The client should have the possibility to see more information about all individual cookies.
- Also it should be possible to withdraw cookie consent given and reopen the cookie settings. This could be the same popup window where the client can see more information about the individual cookies and enable / disable them. Here's a screenshot showing this: https://share.zight.com/o0uOwZyk
- It's necessary to support Google Consent mode v2, because without it conversion tracking will no longer work correctly.
Please have a look on other consent solutions like to see what features / elements are missing:

Great to see version 1 of the cookie consent, in order to make it that the new GDPR compliant and therefore able to be used in EU/South African/Canadian and California (CCPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Utah (UCPA) customers. The Data Protection law states the following is required as part of the requirements for cookie consent (all of which the current consent cookie in GHL does not provide) 1. Provide accurate and specific information about the data each cookie tracks and its purpose in plain language before consent is received.
- Document and store consent received from users.
- Make it as easy for users to withdraw their consent as it was for them to give their consent in the first place.
Hoping this can be added soon?
thanks

Great to see this getting implimented, (and completely appreciate that this is version one... which is a lot better than many other built in cookie banners of other funnel builders i've used) but one thing i've found, is that the link to the privacy policy requires a full url link in it to be saved...
However, the way it's set up, the system looks to be adding the domain at the begining of the url that it entered. so rather than going to https://mywebsite.com/cookie-policy (which i put in the url for the privacy policy) the link appears as https://mywebsite.com/mywebsite.com/cookie-policy and so get a broken page
Fantastic to see this being implimented and worked on

Thanks for finally completing it after the long wait. But I think we need a way to change the button language, or else any non English site will look unprofessional.

Shaun Clark Thank you. I've been misusing so much time on not getting other tools to fully work.
But one thing - my entire website is in Danish. How do I change the text on the buttons into the right language?

Shaun Clark Thank you for the update on the cookie consent tool. Unfortunately, it does not comply with the GDPR regulations as it is mandatory in Germany to offer users the ability to reject cookies. Without this option, the tool unfortunately fails to meet the necessary legal requirements.

Martin Zovkic Can we jump on a call and discuss this over a call from speakwith.us/prakhara. This is v1 and we make sure it is GDPR compliant as well.

Sales & Marketing I accidentally deleted my other comment where you had asked someone for a survey, just like here. Have you gathered all the necessary information for further development that you need?

Sales & Marketing I just spoke with customer reps who told me there is no way for users to reject cookies. Unless I'm missing something, this would mean that the current GHL cookie banner is not GDPR compliant and any website relying on it to manage cookies will be deemed illegal in Europe.

This is a absolute must for all the clients outside the US. Now it´s March 2024 and still it is a big problem for users here in Germany.
