Would be awesome if the voice ai will auto text a caller who disconnects the call/hangs up without providing any information. Usually callers will disconnect the call or hung up when they realize they are speaking to AI so it would be amazing if the Voice Ai agent can trigger the automation workflow to auto text the disconnected caller phone number and give us agency's the ability to do that. I have workflows and automations made to do this but they do not work on the voice ai agent and do not get triggered when a caller disconnects the call. Would be amazing if the engineers can have this be possible. Thank you and God Bless :)

Hello Eric Dingler, one way to solve this right now could be to setup a call duration based trigger to send an SMS. If call duration < 5 seconds, send SMS. Let me know if you need help with this.

YES THIS! I'm having MAJOR trouble with this and 'abandoned calls' and the 'missed call text back' doesn't send because the call was technically 'answered'.
And setting automation to send text when call ends isn't really robust enough - not ALL calls need a text.
I've been tossing the idea around for a workaround which would run thru an if/else condional automation - IF the contact card hasn't been updated with ALL info the AI is collecting, then send a text. But as I've been thinking about it, I've run across instances where that wouldn't be a relevant text from the customers point of view sooooo don't credit me with a good idea cause I'm not sure if it really is or not yet lol.

you could just setup an automation that sends a text when the call ends. it would accomplish the same thing.

Erik Thomasgard but I wouldn't want to say "sorry we missed your call" if the person did engage with the AI. That seems strange.

when you build the automation, don't include a trigger in this case. The trigger is what you've already indicated in the AI agent itself. As the automation is designed to not be triggered until the call ends. Then it's just a super simple automation.

You can do this with an automation and mark it to trigger when call ends. I've done it and it works perfect. It can send at least a text to the number that called if it's SMS capable.

Erik Thomasgard I tried everything to make a automation workflow to capture the callers number and send a text to myself letting me know a caller hung up, even if a caller hangs up the phone 1 sec after the ai answers it. I really tried everything and I could not get it to work, even checked with support and they have no clue. Please can you share with me the steps you did in a workflow automation to be successful like how you got it to work - thank you so much for your reply and help! :)
