I'd like to request that outbound calling time restrictions applied to AI Voice agents be made jurisdiction-specific rather than globally enforced based on US regulations.
The Problem
I'm an Australian business building an outbound AI voice call workflow to demo our product to leads who submit a form on our landing page. When a lead fills out the form, the intent is for the AI voice agent to call them immediately while they're still engaged and on the page.
However, the platform's outbound calling restrictions — which appear to be based on TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) compliance — make this effectively impossible in a real-world context. The TCPA is a United States regulation. It does not apply to Australian businesses calling Australian numbers, nor does it apply to the vast majority of countries outside the US.
Because of this restriction, I was forced to abandon the outbound call approach entirely and pivot to a web voice chat widget instead — a completely different user experience that requires significantly more technical setup and delivers a less seamless conversion flow for my customers.
The Request
Please consider adding a jurisdiction or country-based setting that allows users outside of TCPA-regulated regions to configure their own outbound calling rules — or remove the time restriction entirely for accounts operating in non-US countries.
Australia, the UK, Europe, Canada, and many other markets have their own telecommunications regulations that do not impose the same time-of-day calling restrictions as the TCPA. Applying US-specific compliance rules globally creates unnecessary friction for international users and blocks legitimate, fully compliant business use cases.
Suggested Solution
  • Allow sub-accounts to set their operating country/jurisdiction
  • Apply TCPA restrictions only to accounts operating in the US (or where explicitly opted in)
  • Allow all other accounts to configure outbound calling windows based on their own local regulations and business hours
This would unlock a genuinely powerful use case — immediate AI-initiated outbound calls triggered by lead form submissions — for the large and growing international user base on this platform.
