Ensure callers in different countries do not feel like they are dialing an international number, while Voice AI still works reliably inside GHL. Because Twilio does not currently provide Indian local numbers, following are the options but can we please enable a Native local number integration as per the routes below?
---
### 1️⃣ INDIA — Native Local Number Integration (Possibility & Timeline)
Currently no supported way to attach an Indian local number directly to GHL Voice AI.
Please have support for attaching Indian numbers directly to GHL Voice AI via providers such as:
* Exotel
* Knowlarity (Gupshup)
* MyOperator
* TeleCMI
* Ozonetel
If this is on the roadmap, an estimated timeline would be very helpful.
---
### 2️⃣ INDIA — Hybrid Architecture (Please Confirm Best Practice)
If native integration isn’t possible today, here is the architecture I plan to run:
Local Indian carrier (Exotel / Knowlarity)
→ IVR
→ webhook into GHL
→ transcript + AI workflow
→ selective Voice AI callback (only when necessary)
Inbound calls stay local.
GHL owns recovery, follow-ups, reviews and reminders.
This is an alternative but doesn't unlock live AI call handling like it happens for US numbers.
---
### 3️⃣ Forwarding Behavior (India)
Also, forwarding Indian calls to a U.S. number isn’t ideal.
However, purely for clarity:
If a local Indian number forwards to a U.S. GHL number:
* Will caller recognition (known vs unknown) still work?
---
And For the UAE market:
* Are UAE local DIDs fully supported with GHL Voice AI?
* Do they require any special documentation, verification, or routing rules?
* Is there anything we should avoid in terms of setup (e.g., toll-free vs DID)?
I want to ensure all callers also get a local dialing experience, with Voice AI working seamlessly.
