Tasks: By default assign new tasks to the person creating the task

By default, new tasks are NOT assigned to anyone. In 80% of use case the task should be asssigned to the user creating the task, which can be overridden if needed.

When creating tasks, the task should automatically be assigned to the broker who created the task.

Agreed. Manual tasks should, by default, be assigned to the user who is creating the task. The user should also be able to re-assign the task if needed to another platform user.

That's right, if we're going to have a default assignee (currently: unassigned), it should default to the person creating the task. Or give us the option to require assignee. We have a situation with a client where their sales people aren't super technical and it's letting them create a bunch of unassigned tasks which then aren't getting done because they're not assigned to anybody.

My default to sign a task by the person or you are creating a task. It seems to be a reasonably expected feature. And about 90% of the time that it's exactly what we experience.

Agree... the person creating the task is typically creating it for themselves... Saves having a bunch of unassigned tasks... and therefore not ownership or accountability for it

Would also like to create an unassigned task from workflows
