Add custom fields to Tasks

Can we add custom fields to tasks, where the task could be "upload XYZ document here" or "update data point ABC" and therefore there would be a related custom field that is tied to the task?? Maybe via an extra dropdown when a task is created. That way we could assign tasks to VAs or team members to update fields on contacts.

It would be beneficial to have the ability to add custom fields inside tasks, allowing users to include links and other relevant details directly within a task. This would provide more context and improve workflow efficiency.
Additionally, a running notes section within each task would be helpful. As updates are made to the task, users could add notes that automatically sync and appear in the Contact's Notes section as well. This integration ensures that important updates related to a task are easily accessible in both the task and the contact record, improving tracking and communication across the CRM.

Yes this would be super helpful, I'd like to be able to add a custom field dropdown to tasks to be able to sort by Priority, Task Type, etc.

Yes. Tasks are huge and definitely hasn't been a priority for GHL. This needs to be one of the most robust things. I have to use Automations for tasks with Wait times, etc. However, if there are like 10 Opportunities in a Contact with tags, the automation goes haywire.
