Media files not being easily downloadable in the Affiliate Portal

I have some PDF files but my affiliates can't easily downlaod them.. most intutive woudl be to double click on the file or see a button do download...
Neither is an option right now... only when you right click it gives you option to copy the link of the source file which you than still have to manualy copy and post in to a new browser window to get to it... not intuitive at all.

This is really bad - it should not exist as a feature in its current state - its useless. I know we can right click and paste into a new URL but 1 - anyone not techy will not know how to do that and 2 - it flags as a dangerous link!
