Approval Workflow

Right now we can schedule social media and send for approval 1 post at a time, this could spam approver if we want to schedule 10 or 20 posts and send for approval. If we could save for later and select multiple post to send for approval, so the approver could receive 1 email for bulk posts this would help alot.

It would also be helpful to have a menu option "Change date" for each post in the Social Planner Approval view. This saves time when I want to change the date instead of having to open the post in edit mode

2-step social approval process - I have a need with a client for a 2-step process: 1 step with the team lead, and 1 step with the final stakeholder. Right now, we have to clone an approved post or use the draft stage and manually send notifications, which is not efficient.

Social Planner - Approval Processes

During the approval process I would like to see some updates:
- Only the approver can edit a post when the status of a post is pending approval. The editor or whoever is on the agency or creator side of this should be able to go back in to edit any aspect of the post if in this status. If the approver speaks with the creator and requests changes, the creator would have to clone a post which is frustrating and causes extra work.
- Would like to bulk edit drafted posts to change the status to "scheduled" or "pending approval"
- Would like the ability / option to send 1 approval email for multiple posts and not have to send the approver multiple emails to approve each post
- Would like the creator and approver to be able to comment a post, discussion prior to the approver "approving" or "rejecting" the post.
- The approver should be able to reschedule the post or atleast this should be a customizable feature toggle to turn on and off

Would also love approval to be possible by people who are not team members in the sub account - that would make this really useful for social media managers who don't need or want their clients to have access to their subaccounts. This is particularly important where they are managing multiple clients as currently you can see ALL content in the planner, you cannot restrict pages by user etc.

Clients and agencies should be able to easily access posts directly from the email, with the option to display the post within the email itself. There should also be functionality to send multiple posts for approval at once, as well as the ability to add notes that highlight specific areas requiring edits—similar to how Google Drive allows comments on photos or documents.

Hey Braedon Kruse Thanks a lot for sharing such detailed feedback. I wanted to let you know that the last point you mentioned is now live. Approvers can reschedule posts directly within the approval process.
The other suggestions you’ve shared are also super valuable and already on our radar as we continue to improve Social Planner. Appreciate you taking the time to outline them so clearly 🙌

Please add a more convenient way to review all the posts. Either by having a next button, or showing large numbers of them on the same page.

Hey Joshua,
Thanks for dropping by, we're currently working on updating our approval workflows, this is a part of our roadmap.

This could be solved by modelling your improvements on Loomly . They have an approval flow, and a notification option. Then you can schedule all posts to be approved, then notify the client with 1 email. they can then login and leave comments against posts for changes. Once they approve the post it's then scheduled at the pre-selected time.

Currently scheduling multiple posts is an expensive proposition as every post has an email sent out.
Likewise the approver is flooded with duplicate emails that are uninformative and annoying.
