Feature Request: New Smart Lists Should Start Empty

Hello,
I'd like to suggest an improvement to the Smart List creation flow.
Currently, when a new smart list is created, it automatically includes all existing contacts. While the "All Contacts" tab and filters already exist for those who need to segment their audience, pre-populating new lists with every contact creates several issues:
Duplicacy & Confusion: When all contacts are replicated into every new list, teams struggle to distinguish between different segments (e.g., vendors vs. clients).
Filter Dependency: To make a new list useful, users must first apply filters — adding an extra step and leaving room for human error if filters are set incorrectly or missed.
Misleading Structure: A "new" list shouldn't feel like a clone of the master contact list. The intent behind creating a separate list is usually to build something targeted and specific.
Proposed Solution: New smart lists should start empty.
Users can then: Manually add contacts as needed, or
Import specific contacts/vendors into that list, or
Apply filters if desired
Beyond client–vendor segregation, another key use case involves our product-specific sales teams. Since each product has a dedicated sales team assigned to it, we need the ability to assign individual product lists to team members.
This allows managers to review per-product insights, track onboarding progress, and monitor performance at the product level, without relying on complex filters.
