When booking appointment from Calendar View, time and date should be Default, not Custom

Problem: As a staff member booking an appointment from the calendar view, the time and date should be default, but is instead automatically set (defaults) to Custom. If I then switch it to Default, I have to reselect the date, and then wait for the drop down menu for available times. This makes it increasing possible to accidentally book an appointment that is not the correct time duration if the person does not notice that the appointment duration is not the default. This causes a lot of wasted unnecessary time when booking lots of appointments.
Expectation: As a staff member, when I click on the calendar in calendar view to schedule an appointment, the time and the date should default to Default.
