Service Calendar - Needs Recurring Setting
C
Chris OConnell
Currently there is no recurring setting in the service calendar.
Would be great to have this option. Use case: I have a pool company, I want to offer weekly pool cleaning service via service calendar, so I can take advantage of Calendar Group and Service Menu features.

Feature Request: Recurring Services Booking — You're Leaving $370+ BILLION on the Table
I just reviewed the Q1 2026 Innovation Report. Impressive work on:
Beta 2.0 AI email generation
Workflow play/pause mechanics
Google Demand Gen consolidation
WhatsApp drip parameters
Marketing audit reports in 13 languages
Bulk opportunity delete with 60-day recovery
You know what none of that does? Unlock recurring revenue for the industries that built this platform.
You shipped a Services add-on system. A client can book a service, add upgrades, pick a staff member, choose a date, and pay a deposit. That's 95% of the infrastructure. But there's no option to say "repeat this every 2 weeks."
One checkbox. One dropdown. That's all it takes.
Without it, you've effectively told every agency owner to find workarounds or walk away from these verticals:
THE INDUSTRIES YOU'RE IGNORING — WITH RECEIPTS:
US Market Size (2024-2025):
Lawn Care & Landscaping$153–188 billion
House Cleaning (Residential + Commercial)$134–170 billion
Hair Salons & Barbers$60–90 billion
Gyms / Fitness / Personal Training$45–60 billion
HVAC Services$27–40 billion
Pest Control$24–25 billion
Pet Grooming & Boarding$15–18 billion
Med Spas / Day Spas$20+ billion
Pool Cleaning & Maintenance$5+ billion
Tutoring & Music Lessons$12+ billion
Childcare / Daycare$60+ billion
Commercial Janitorial$90+ billion
Conservative total: $370+ BILLION in recurring-appointment industries in the US alone.
And that's not counting:
Chiropractors
Physical therapists
Massage therapists
Nail salons
Lash/brow techs
Dog walkers
Window cleaners
Pressure washers
Gutter cleaners
Septic services
Snow removal
Oil change shops
Detailing memberships
Martial arts studios
Dance studios
Swim schools
Home health aides
Senior care
This isn't a niche request. This is the economic backbone of SMB America.
Every single one of these industries runs on recurring appointments. Every single one is a natural fit for this platform. Every single one is currently either:
Duct-taped together with Zapier hacks
Lost to competitors who solved this years ago
The math for YOU:
If even 10% of agencies on this platform could close ONE recurring-service client at $500/month, you're looking at tens of thousands of new sub-accounts generating rebilling revenue for you — not us.
This isn't a feature request. It's a revenue multiplier for your own P&L.
Meanwhile, Q1 gave us:
AI that writes emails from a screenshot
The ability to pause a workflow node
Localized CSV import notifications
I'm not saying those are useless. I'm saying the ROI delta isn't even close.
You built the booking engine, then forgot half the economy runs on recurring.
Build the recurring services feature. Stop leaving money — yours and ours — on the table.
Come on guys, are we in this to make money or shiny, cool features.

We need to have a recurring option under new service tab, I have a cleaning business and I want to be able to offer certain services weekly/fortnightly. Atm, I have to use form, products, and calendar to achieve this. very complicated! Thanks.

We really need this feature enhancement, GHL team! Please consider this for the near future if possible.

I think it's an urgent update. It's a basic functionality for many businesses.

I recently switched to using Round Robin instead of the service calendar. The main reason is that the service calendar doesn’t support recurring services and limits booking by not allowing multiple appointments in the same time slot—even when I have several available team members. In my wellness studio, we operate with 45-minute appointments that start every 15 minutes to accommodate overlapping sessions and assign staff based on overall availability rather than individual assignments. This flexibility is crucial to our workflow, and I believe adopting a Round Robin approach better meets our needs.

Yes! I have clients that would use this. Service tasks should be able to repeat on a daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly basis. The day/time chosen for each repeat frequency should be kept the same. Example:
- daily at 1p
- weekly on Monday 10am
- bi weekly on Wednesday at 3p
- monthly has 2 variations:
-- the 12th of every month at noon
-- the third Thursday of every month
Etc....
Furthermore the team memer assigned to an appointment should be assigned to every repeat, or have a choice to lock the team member on the appointment or assign an available team member. Some co.panies charge more for a preferred employee, and less of they can send anyone available.

Is very important this for personal trainers, physioterapi, beauty, etc.....

It makes no sense that the service calendar doesn't already have a recurring option since most services are provided on a recurring basis. This is something that should be added asap.

Yes please! I just started moving all the calendars over assuming (my fault for assuming) and now I have to move them back and tell my client.
