Require people to enter their credit card to reserve/book an appointment for a set amount but don't charge it. The card would not be charged unless an admin manually goes back and charges the card because the prospect no showed or didn't call.

Alex King This is possible.
- Simply go to Calendar Settings > Edit Calendar
- Go to the Forms & Payments Tab
- Enable 'Accept Payments'
- Enter Total Amount (Eg. $100) and Turn on Accept Partial Payments.
- Here, you can then enter $0.
This will save the booker's card but will not charge the booker while booking.

Swadha Bhoj However, it has to be sent by invoice and they fill out with CC again, correct? That is what customer support is telling me. The purpose of my post was that we need to be able to push it through afterwards, not have the clients do have to do it. afterward

You could create an authorization but not charge it unless they do not show. The authorization is generally valid for about four weeks, but this works for appointments three weeks out. I have been doing this through another system which I wrote in Ruby on Rails for the past decade or so.

James Nachbar How did you create an authorization?
J

Rory Witkowski: You can create the authorization with Authorize.net.
For example, see this page from their documentation about the stages of payment card processing : https://developer.authorize.net/api/reference/features/payment-transactions.html#Basics_of_Payment_Card_Processing
