I’d like to submit feedback on the current booking flow for service-based businesses, specifically regarding staff selection and availability.
The Problem:
Right now, the booking process requires clients to effectively select an artist/staff member twice:
-Client selects a service
-Client is prompted to choose a specific staff member
-Client is then taken to a second screen where they must again choose availability — and this is where the “Select Anyone Available” option appears
This creates a confusing and redundant experience. Many clients don’t have a preference for a specific provider, but the system forces them into that decision too early. Then, presenting “Anyone Available” later in the process contradicts the initial step.
From a client experience standpoint, this:
-Adds unnecessary friction to booking
-Causes hesitation or drop-off
-Feels unintuitive and repetitive
-Increases the likelihood of incorrect bookings
Suggested Solution:
Rework the booking flow so that staff selection is streamlined and happens only once.
Specifically:
  1. Move the “Anyone Available” option to the first staff selection screen
  2. Allow clients to choose: A specific provider OR “Anyone Available” immediately
  3. Once selected, take the client directly to available time slots based on that choice
  4. Eliminate the second staff/availability selection step entirely
Why This Matters:
For service-based businesses like salons, PMU studios, and med spas, a smooth booking experience directly impacts conversion rates.
Most clients prioritize:
Convenience
Fast booking
Earliest available appointment
I love using GHL and this change would make a huge difference for both business owners and clients.
Thank you for considering!
