Allow Appointments to be Scheduled in the Past

We have several clients who need to book appointments in the past (for reporting reason, etc...) for Contacts in the "Appointment" tab. Currently, this isn't possible.

Yes, please! We also need this for our calendar management—specifically, to transfer past appointments to certain calendars before deleting them.

This would be hugely helpful for our sales team who get calls directly to their phones and need to log the impromptu meeting in the system for tracking, but cannot because it already happened in the past. And if they log it for right then, the system sends the contact a confirmation and reminder, confusing or frustrating them.

I second this. Most of us keep business by proving booked appointments, and our clients change them all the time, resulting in sloppy and inaccurate reporting. We also need the ability to stop automations for appointments in the past within workflows.
