This is a Summary, please view the attached pdf to learn more about how this would work.
Introduction:
Currently, accounts can only use one default payment provider, which limits flexibility. This idea introduces multi-provider routing ultimately giving businesses the ability to choose a Default, Page, or Product-level provider.
  • Page Provider overrides Product Provider
  • Product Provider overrides Default
  • Default only applies when nothing else is set
This allows businesses to:
  • Optimize for the best rates or incentives
  • Balance transactions across multiple merchant accounts
  • Avoid pages without a provider attached
In short: Smart provider routing = more flexibility, better rates, and stronger payment control.
