Right now, there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn off or block review widgets after a client’s account has been suspended or they’ve ended services. This means former clients can still show their reviews on their websites and appear to be using an active, paid GHL setup. In our case, one past client re-added the same script and is still displaying about 300 reviews from 15 branches, even though her account is currently suspended and the widget was removed on our side. I understand caching might delay deactivation, but I couldn’t find any documentation confirming if or when these widgets stop displaying.
It would be great if GHL could add a feature that allows agencies or GHL directly to deactivate or block widgets tied to suspended accounts. For example, once an account is suspended, the widget link could automatically expire, or there could be a verification check that only allows widgets from active sub-accounts to load. This would help agencies maintain better control of licensed features, prevent suspended users from displaying paid GHL tools, and ensure fair use across all accounts.
