I'm trying to use the "Prospect Generated" workflow trigger to send prospect data to an external system via webhook, but I'm running into an issue where the custom data fields are showing up empty.

My Setup:

Trigger: Prospect Generated

Action: Webhook with Custom Data fields

Custom Data I'm trying to pass:

Prospect Report: {{prospect.prospect_web_report_link}}

Prospect Email: {{prospect.contact_email}}

The Problem:

When the webhook fires, the customData object is empty:

What I've Tried:

Using the merge field picker to select the fields (they show up as available)

Tried variations like {{prospect.body.prospect_web_report_link}}

Verified the workflow is using "Prospect Generated" trigger specifically

Questions:

Are these merge fields only available in certain contexts (Agency vs Sub-Account)?

Do I need to add a delay for the report to generate first before the webhook fires?

Has anyone successfully passed the prospect report link through a webhook?

Are there alternative merge field names I should try?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm trying to automate sending the marketing audit report link to prospects immediately after they're generated.

This is already an option If you add {{prospect.prospect_web_report_link}} to an email you send to the prospect then the email will contain the link to the report.

Note that when a prospect is created it can take a few minutes to generate the report

Yay! Glad to see this in progress. When I voted on it, I didn't do what you asked and give a use case. Mine would be for regular marketing audit reports to be generated on a perhaps quarterly basis, probably by being moved into a pipeline stage that triggers a workflow -> Report is generated -> URL in custom field -> send notification to client to schedule a meeting to discuss it -> move to pipeline stage -> create task to follow up

Inviting all of your suggestions on Automatic Report Generation so we can get this build in Q4 itself!

One major usecase could be

~ New Lead signups your webinar / FB Form / From Email etc -> Contact & Company Created -> Report Generation Action Triggered -> Report Generated: URL added to contact custom field, and also stays in Prospecting Dashboard
