Feature Request: Marketplace App as Agency-Level Email Service Provider (with Sub-Account Default)
Summary:
Allow agencies to connect and configure a third-party email service provider (ESP) installed from the Marketplace as the primary email sending service at the agency level, with the ability to set it as the default for all sub-accounts automatically.
Problem Statement:
Currently, agencies are limited to native email sending options and cannot leverage Marketplace-integrated ESPs as a centralized email infrastructure. This forces agencies to manually configure email settings on a per-sub-account basis, creating operational inefficiencies and inconsistency across client accounts.
Proposed Solution:
  • Allow agency admins to install and authorize a Marketplace app (e.g., a third-party ESP like SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, etc. or even a custom made app on Marketplace) at the agency level.
  • Provide an option in Agency Settings to designate the Marketplace app as the default email service provider.
  • Automatically propagate this setting to all existing and newly created sub-accounts, unless overridden at the sub-account level.
  • Provide an option in Agency settings to disable email provider (e.g LC Email provider, custom email provider installed from marketplace)
  • Sub-account admins should retain the ability to override the agency default with their own preferred provider if needed (excluding the disabled ones from Agency settings).
