Ability to Disable Launchpad!

Yes, So, the ability to disable or edit the Launchpad should also give us the ability to change or turn off the automated email that goes out to new users. When a new user is created with the API, that user is automatically added as a contact in that sub-account and an email is sent out asking them to download the mobile app lead connector.

Completely agree! What an embarrassing oversight!

I'd love to be able to either disable the launchpad altogether (per location) or to customize it per location.
Also, users can access Wordpress from the launchpad by clicking on the checkmark beside it. I had to turn off EVERYTHING under sites in order to hide Wordpress, but they can still access it via that checkmark. It's a risk, because they shouldn't have the ability to change (or even delete!) the website.

Does anyone know how to edit the names of tabs in the CRM?
Like instead of Reputation, we'd rename that "Reviews" (we don't use listings)
And instead of "Conversations" - "Messaging" would work for us..

Launchpad functionality is solid, however it cannot be used as is. Check out this video I made on how a customizable launchpad can work for all https://highlevel.canny.io/crm/p/ability-to-modify-launchpad

Completely agree. Not only it is not useful, it also confuses clients because it is so prominent. Please allow us to disable it by sub-account, or completely.

I'd like to be able to Disable Launchpad for SELECTED locations.

put this code in your Custom css under the company setting will remove it from all sub accounts.
#sb_launchpad { display: none;}

Rob Armstrong: Thanks Rob! The button disappears , but it still defaults to the launchpad page on login. Do you know a redirect script that would send to dashboard? If not I will put one together and share. Thanks.
S
Simon McVeigh
Here's the script I'm using along with the CSS trick you posted. Seems to work well enough.
function getLastPart(url) {
var parts = url.split("/");
return (url.lastIndexOf("/") !== url.length - 1
? parts[parts.length - 1]
: parts[parts.length - 2]);
}
if (getLastPart(window.location.href) == "launchpad") {
var oldUrl = window.location.href;
var newUrl = oldUrl.replace("launchpad","dashboard");
console.log("landed on launchpad. redirecting to dashboard.")
window.location.href = newUrl;
}

Simon McVeigh: is the script above showing something instead of the launch pad? In other words if i built a page with video training could i call to that page to be there instead?
S
Simon McVeigh
Mike Driggers: it just redirects to the dashboard page at "/dashboard". If you want it to go somewhere else, just replace the keyword "dashboard" with what your link is, so instead of this:
var newUrl = oldUrl.replace("launchpad","dashboard");
it would look like this:
var newUrl = oldUrl.replace("launchpad","put-your-url-ending-here");
just the last part of the link, not the full https:// link. Hope that makes sense.

Simon McVeigh: Hey mate 👋, does this script still works I've been trying it but looks like I'm not getting it, and kindly provide me the full script, thanks in advance.

Rob Armstrong: TY for this. Are all of the menu items sb_item name? What about menu items with a dash in them?

Rob Armstrong Just implemented this from YT suggestion. Dev team should definitely add the ability to hide this, as a standard feature.

Thanks a lot, Simon McVeigh! I used the following script (based on your script) to both hide the Launchpad and the Dashboard, and then get everyone to land on the Opportunities section by default. Problem solved (for me at least).
#sb_launchpad { display: none;}
#sb_dashboard { display: none;}
function getLastPart(url) {
var parts = url.split("/");
return (url.lastIndexOf("/") !== url.length - 1
? parts[parts.length - 1]
: parts[parts.length - 2]);
}
if (getLastPart(window.location.href) == "launchpad") {
var oldUrl = window.location.href;
var newUrl = oldUrl.replace("launchpad","opportunities");
console.log("landed on launchpad. redirecting to opportunities.")
window.location.href = newUrl;
}

Nathanael 0-235-587This didn't work for me. Do you have to be part of the agency plan? I am on the Unlimited plan currently
N
Nathanael 0-235-587
Devon Smart No, I'm also on Unlimited. What exactly didn't work for you?
D

Nathanael 0-235-587 The launchpad and the dashboard didn't go away nor did it redirect to opportunities for me. I just copied and paste to try it out. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to change anything else to it

Devon Smart Could you perhaps paste a screenshot of your CSS scripts you've got in Agency > Settings > Business Profile?
Regarding hopping to Opportunities first thing, I see that it also doesn't do it from the code. It seems to be that GHL recalls the last place you were at, so if I log in as the User, then go to Opportunities, then go back to Agency view, and then log back to the User, it goes straight to Opportunities. Not ideal, but that seems to work.

Simon McVeigh Do you perhaps know a script I could use to disable Launchpad and Dashboard (ideally per Sub-Account), and hop straight to the Opportunities section?
I'd essentially just like my clients to see the Conversations, Contacts and Opportunities sections, and when they log in they go straight to Opportunities.
Currently, even if I hide the Dashboard section, GHL defaults there (and if I've toggled Dashboard off in the user permissions, GHL informs the user that they don't have permission to view the Dashboard, and then they're stuck there with that message [not cool]; they then have to manually click on Conversations, Contacts or Opportunities - if they know to do so).
Also, do you perhaps know how to hide the "Settings" button per Sub-Account or per user?

Nathanael 0-235-587 my screeny showing the javascript - also doesn't work for me, and would love to not show clients the launchpad!

Andrew Woods
Agreed - half of the items in the launchpad will never be used by our clients, so it's a persistent annoyance to them (and us). Should be able to mark items as completed, and when they are all completed, the launchpad should disappear forever
