I am writing to submit an urgent and important feature request regarding the Courses area within the platform.

At present, when granting access to instructors/teachers within a course, they are given visibility and control over the full course backend. This creates a significant operational and security concern for course providers like ourselves.

The Core Issue:

We need to assign teachers/instructors to review and mark student coursework and assignments. However, the current system does not allow us to restrict their access to only student submissions.

This means that instructors may:

Access the full course structure and proprietary content

Accidentally modify or delete lessons/modules

Duplicate or clone course materials

View sensitive intellectual property and backend configurations

Feature Request:

We strongly recommend implementing a role-based permission system for Courses, specifically introducing a restricted role such as:

“Instructor / Marker Access (Restricted)”

This role should allow:

Access to assigned students only

Visibility of submitted assignments and coursework

Ability to review, grade, and provide feedback

Communication with assigned students (optional)

This role should NOT allow:

Editing course content

Deleting modules or lessons

Accessing funnel/backend settings

Cloning or exporting course materials

Viewing other instructors' or admin-level data

Why This Matters:

This functionality is critical for any serious education provider operating on your platform. Without it:

Course intellectual property is exposed

There is a high risk of accidental data loss

Scaling with multiple instructors becomes unsafe

It limits adoption by professional training institutions

Impact:

Implementing this feature would significantly enhance:

Platform security

Usability for education businesses

Scalability for multi-instructor programmes

Trust in Go High Level as a serious LMS solution

Given the nature of our operations and the urgency of onboarding instructors, we would greatly appreciate this being prioritized or at minimum placed on your development roadmap.
