Preselect product in Checkout

Feature Request: Preselect Product in Checkout via URL Parameter (PID)
Problem:
Currently, our checkout page defaults to the first product in the funnel, regardless of any prior user selections made on preceding pages.
This creates a frustrating user experience when customers select specific product variations (e.g., different pricing options) via buttons on previous pages, only to find the default product displayed in the checkout.
This discrepancy leads to customer confusion, potential abandonment, and increased support requests.
Specifically, we have use cases where a single product has multiple price variations, each represented as a separate product with its own PID. Users select the desired price on a landing page, but the checkout does not reflect this selection.
Proposed Solution:
Implement a feature that allows preselecting a specific product in the checkout using a pid (Product ID) URL parameter.
Example URL: https://mywebsite.com/checkout?pid=32423525254323521
Upon accessing the checkout page with a valid pid parameter, the corresponding product should be automatically selected.
If the provided pid is invalid or not found, the current default behavior can be maintained.
Benefits:
Improved User Experience: Eliminates confusion and frustration by ensuring the checkout reflects the user's prior product selection.
Increased Conversion Rates: Reduces cart abandonment by streamlining the checkout process and minimizing friction.
Enhanced Flexibility: Enables more dynamic product selection workflows, particularly for products with multiple variations.
Scalability: Supports future growth and allows for more complex product configurations.
Client Satisfaction: This feature will be vital for upcoming client projects that require precise product selection in the checkout.
Scope:
This functionality should be implemented for both Agency and sub-account levels.
Impact:
This is a high-impact feature that directly addresses a critical usability issue and significantly improves the overall customer experience.
This feature is considered vital for upcoming client onboarding.
In summary: This feature bridges the gap between pre-selection actions and the checkout experience, creating a seamless and user-friendly flow.
