Lock modules inside a course and unlock upon purchase

Use case: I have a digital product and 3 upsells. Each upsell and the main product correspond to a module inside a course, so in total I have one course with 4 modules.
I want to be able to show the main product by default and if a user didn't buy upsells, I want him to see each module related to each upsell but they should be locked. A module can be unlocked upon purchase of an upsell related to this module.
Clickfunnels does this. This helps to organize nicely the content and earn more money.

It would be helpful to be able to lock categories & subcategories until the user completes a previous specified category or subcategory. This way if you have a course that needs to be completed in order, they can't skip ahead.

Yes I agree. Skool does this. I would like to lock a module/lesson not based on only if they complete another. Instead I want to lock it and unlock it when they purchase an upsell from me. That way I do not have to have two different courses and it shows people what they are missing if they have not purchased the entire package yet. Example they got a sample of it and I want them to see how much they are missing

Somewhat related to this; it would be great to lock content until a flag is set at contact record, which could be done manually by a "coach" working with the customer.
