I really like the idea of allowing people to download your videos, it shows a level of trust and that you're doing well enough that you don't care if a handful of people pirate your stuff.
The thing is, no matter how much protection you put in place people will always find a way around it. The better option is to provide things with your courses that people cannot pirate, things like support groups, one-on-one or live group interaction, regular updates, and so on. That way people will be more inclined to purchase your course that comes with all these extra things, rather than downloading a pirated copy that may also be way out of date.
Plus, for many people like myself, we want them to have an easy way to download the videos.
I know personally that many people have issues watching videos online. Maybe they want to download them to their phone so they can watch them when they're in an area that has poor signal or they just want to keep a local copy in case something ever happens to you and your site.
So whatever is done should be optional to enable or disable, and should incorporate both sides.

This is the opposite side of the same coin: https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/memberships/p/non-downloadable-videos-to-increase-course-security
It will be interesting to see which option gets more votes.

Keith Besherse no such option in my account?

Interested in this but I fear that those who purchase our course would then share the downloaded videos with others, leading to them not purchasing the course too :/

Rachel Weiner if your material is good enough that people want to pirate it, then good for you.
There's a lot of people that won't purchase or freely download pirated stuff, but will see your materials and come back to you for the original.
And something I've seen other people do, and that I do myself, is to offer things people cannot download. Things like membership access to groups, live interaction over Zoom, access to you via email for questions, regular updates with new content, things like that.
It not only gives your course more value, but also makes it incredibly difficult for someone to pirate everything you have, and puts people off purchasing or downloading freely available pirated content, because they don't get the most up-to-date version or the access the real deal gives them.
