We've set up our client’s mobile number with a "Friendly Name", but SMS recipients still see the phone number instead of the name. From what we understand, CNAM (Caller ID Name) only applies to voice calls (inbound and outbound), not SMS, meaning there is no way to display the business name automatically in text messages.
For brand recognition in SMS, the only current workaround is to manually include the business name within the message itself, which reduces the available character count and isn’t an ideal solution.
Since Twilio supports Alphanumeric Sender IDs, why is this not available in GoHighLevel? Typically, this feature allows businesses to send SMS from a custom brand name instead of a phone number, with the following conditions:
• It must be enabled for the account.
• It is one-way only, meaning customers cannot reply to the message.
Would it be possible to implement Alphanumeric Sender ID support in GoHighLevel? This would be incredibly beneficial for businesses wanting to improve brand visibility and trust in their SMS communications.

Can we have this please? Lots of ecommerce customers dont need a response, just a outbound push to existing clients for a new promo uses. Alpha tag is such a powerful tool and is the reason why some of my clients dont use GHL and go to clicksend instead

I just spoke with someone at Twilio and He mentioned that Alphanumeric SMS sender is an active option that we can use through HL! How that can be done?

This is needed more than ever. You can't SMS the UK from outside of the UK unless you either have a UK number or have Alphanumeric SMS

We need this!
The Twilio API makes it trivial to change the 'from' field in an API to some Alphanumeric Text. Professional businesses don't one-way message from a regular mobile number

Essa Mustapha We always follow the votes and yes it is trivial, but it also has what in my mind is a huge limitation:
Alphanumeric Sender IDs are only available for one-way outbound messages; recipients cannot reply directly to messages. (However, you can provide contact information in your message if you want recipients to respond).
So no two way texting just remember that when you switch to it.

Makes sense!
To be honest, we have worked around this a little bit setting up our own custom conversation provider at the moment :)
Once the this ticket is in: https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/apis/p/fix-internal-sms-for-custom-conversation-providers
We will be 95% the way there with our one-way notification messages being branded and having a seperate SMS number for standard conversations

Another vote for this.
