my clients phone number are already known by their customers, having to add a new phone its a very bad idea, as clients continue to try to reach our with the old number and this is hurting the business, i cant image why GHL havent thought about this, its so obvious

Just because they add a new phone number doesn't mean they have to cancel their old one. Just add this new one for HL marketing. And no, this would not hurt the business. In fact, it will make them more money thanks to the opportunities opening up with a phone number that can now be used in conjunction with amazing marketing tools.
Or you can port their existing phone number if so choose, which would negate the need to get a new one. Although that's not something I would advice since it's a little bit tricky.
And yes, HL did think about this, but due to current technology, and the fact that most businesses have a landline and not a cellphone, what you really want is not feasible atm.
