Statistics incorrect when using SMTP Services such as Amazon SES

My attachment speaks for itself. If we are going to have the option of using other SMTP services, which I think is a great idea and much appreciated, we need proper statistics. I can't sell email marketing to a client, use Amazon SES (my preferred SMTP service), and allow them to view false data.
Please see if you can figure out why the GHL statistics can match the true metrics of Amazon SES ... if they can track this data via their virtual dashboard, I am hoping you are able to make your stats match.
Thanks!

Amazon SES Service (and other services) return inaccurate or completely false email stats

I spoke with GHL support about this issue and the knowledgebase also solidifies the fact that other services other than LC or Mailgun return inaccurate statistic. If you are giving us the ability to choose our own service, shouldn't the stats be usable? We are providing access to our customers in good faith that the tools we're giving them work properly.
Please advise.
