The problem: Agencies using a dedicated sending domain at the agency level have no way to set a default "from" email per subaccount. The domain is inherited by subaccounts, but Email Header Settings are only available when a domain is configured directly at subaccount level. The only thing that controls the "from" address on the CRM contacts page is the user's profile email - which is also their login email.
This creates an impossible tradeoff:
Gmail as login → when users manually send or reply to emails from the CRM contacts page, the from-address is their Gmail while the sending domain is your branded domain → mismatch → spam (workflows are fine since you can set the from-address there manually)
Sending domain as login → email deliverability is fixed, but password resets and onboarding break because GHL system emails go to an inbox only accessible inside GHL
Per-subaccount SMTP → works, but doesn't scale for 50+ low-ticket clients
The feature request:
A "Default From Email" field at the subaccount level, independent of the user login email, that works even when the sending domain is inherited from the agency.
Why this is critical:
This is breaking real agency setups today. There is no workaround. GHL support confirmed this and directed me here. If you're hitting the same wall, please upvote.
