I’ve already set up the dedicated domain, but the email used for sending emails is unable to receive replies, and those responses don’t appear under the conversation tab.
And with the new Domain resell feature, this is a must. We don't have dedicated inbox for our main domains and official email adresses.

📬 When will we finally get real email inboxes per domain?

Right now, we can send emails using our domains inside the platform…
👉 But we still can’t receive emails in a proper inbox linked to those domains.
And honestly, that’s hard to understand in 2026.
👉 What we need:
• a real inbox per domain (e.g., contact@, support@),
• the ability to receive incoming emails directly inside the platform,
• manage replies without relying on Gmail or external tools,
• receive essential emails like OTP codes, confirmations, client replies, etc.
🎯 Every business needs to:
• centralize communication,
• have a professional inbox,
• avoid stacking multiple tools.
👉 Yet we’re still forced to use external solutions (Google Workspace, Outlook…) just for this.
🤔 This feels inconsistent with an all-in-one business platform.
👉 What we expect:
A fully functional email inbox system, connected to hosted domains.
🎯 This is not a “nice-to-have” — it’s a core feature.
And it would eliminate a major dependency on external tools.
👉 So… when will this essential feature finally be available?

I agree! I am having to manage my emails twice. Once in GHL, then again in Gmail, because I can't just ignore the emails in Gmail, because anything incoming that isn't already against a record will not come into GHL. So they would all get missed.

CRM tools like Close.io use IMAP to link the email address for sending and receiving. The CRM therefore functions like an email app (Apple Mail or Outlook, etc.).
As it is/is now set in GHL, it is common for email marketing (as with Active-Campaign, Brevo & Co.).
It is important for GHL to differentiate between email marketing and CRM!
For email marketing, it is good to use a dedicated subdomain (Spam Core theme).
However, it should be possible to use the root domain for CRM.
In other words, the CRM/Messages & Email Marketing functions should be considered and set separately. Then the perfect solution has been found for all applications.
Email marketing = dedicated subdomain (if Spam Core is too high, new subdomain can be linked)
CRM = root domain (even manually written emails are received in the CRM this way)

This is a common point of confusion. GoHighLevel (GHL) recommends using a dedicated sending domain to protect your primary domain's reputation and improve email deliverability. Since most users already use their main domain for a website or primary email, GHL suggests using a subdomain (e.g., mg.example.com) for this purpose.
When you set up a subdomain like mg.example.com in GHL, it becomes the designated address for both sending and receiving emails within the platform.
For example, an email must be sent to info@mg.example.com to be received in your GHL inbox. An email sent to info@example.com would go to your regular email provider (like Google Workspace or Outlook), not GHL.
If you want GHL to handle emails for your root domain (@example.com), that domain must be used exclusively for GHL's email service, which is generally not practical.
