Payment Scheduling & Optional Item Problem

Please fix invoices in “documents and contracts” when adding an invoice payment settings section! We need to be able to enable the “optional item” toggle an be able to create a “payment schedule” at the same time.. for some reason it only allows you to have one or the other..
Personal example.. I sell wedding and elopement films and I offer multiple payment schedules “25% deposit then halfway point is 37.5% and then the month of 37.5%” and it allows me to do that but I want the bride to be able to pick the “product/package” they want from the invoice section and not have everything automatically selected! So if I have three “products/packages” listed she can pick the one she wants and not the others.. it how it’s set up it only allows either payment schedule OR optional item selection.. but not both!

I spoke with GHL about this about a month ago as well - much needed feature

Totally agree that these should not be mutually exclusive. I was just training a new person on Contracts earlier today and they weren't able to toggle the "optional item" flag. It never occurred to me that it might be because we were also using a payment schedule. And I wasted a lot of time poking around in settings, her user permissions, and variations of google searches, and nothing made the problem clear aside from this feature request!!

Tina Caron this and having ach deposits are the ONLY things that are keeping me from using documents and contracts and taking payments in ghl! I would love to just have EVERYTHING in one platform, but they’re not there yet!

Tiberious Greene I don't understand the developer logic that would make these mutually exclusive. I am a former software engineer myself and I can't come up with any rationale or business use case that would force the choice to implement this way.

Tina Caron Exactly EVERY OTHER CRM allows this, I am convinced when they built this they didn’t not just include on purpose, but just didn’t think of it
