This is actually NOT completed, even though it says it is. You only do partial payments for invoices if it's a payment plan or subscription.

Are there any new updates on collecting partial payments on invoices? And will this apply to the mobile app?
One thing I’ve noticed as well, is that a lot of our clients are contractors and there doesn’t seem to be a streamlined solution to having the contractor POC name and billing address to be stored, while also having the ability to save multiple job site locations associated to that contractor.
I thought maybe this related to the invoicing feature as well because it’s important that the contractor is being billed, and not necessarily the job site location.

idea for a more automated expansion of this (to me useless) addition: https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/invoicing/p/automate-partial-payments-with-workflows-expansion-of-manual-partial-payment-add

there should be a way to set a % minimum payment and use workflows to remind users of the rest so the payments can be paid on one invoice by the payor not only manually, is this possible without getting involved with webhooks and api stuff?

Glad to see this go live - I'm hoping that submitting partial payments through Stripe is on the roadmap. The use case being a deposit for service that's applied against the total invoice. Those can/should be collected through Stripe (or other payment processor), without the need for a second separate invoice. Much like the "request payment" feature - a single stripe invoice could be created, then once paid it should be "applied" to the existing invoice.

Sales & Marketing: Question, is it possible to edit in case more items, that way we dont have to sent another bill due for those additional items, thanks

Sales & Marketing: wait so the business owner has to process the down payment themselves?
Why not just make it so we could just set a certain deposit % requirement and client has to at least pay that….

Sales & Marketing: Does this work for recurring invoices too?

Sales & Marketing: Glad it's "in progress" but for how long??? It seems really ridiculous that it is taking so long to implement something that should be a very basic programming thing. I realize this isn't the only thing GHL has to think about but it really is a major time sucker to have to track partial payments and then communicate a different amount due than what my final invoices show. And I have some projects that go on for months and clients want a running invoice that they just pay against. Please get this feature implemented ASAP!

Beth Blacker: I have been monitoring this feature closely.
They recently marked it in progress, not very long ago, like 10 days ago. Usually when they do, it moves fast. Let's wait and see. Good news is that now is moving.

Worth noting that Stripe's API is ready for payment plans (separate payments on a single invoice): https://stripe.com/docs/invoicing/payment-plans
