The only reason I am not moving my entire invoicing to GHL is because I cant change or update dates on the:
1) Invoice date - Moving to GHL requires me to enter my past invoices, I cannot change the Invoice date
2) Update payment date - customers at times pay via other means like zelle and what not and I am unable to always update GHL, but the feature to enter a payment on a previous date but after the invoice date isnt there either.

Having additional options for invoice due dates would be a game changer for service based business that require payment closer to the date of service.
For example right now under invoices > payment settings we have the ability to set “invoice due by x days after” being sent. Also having an option “invoice due X days before” a custom date would be amazing. Having the custom date be able to be pulled form the contact fields would be even better!
In our field not all jobs book out with the same time until completion date. Our policy is to have the invoices paid 14 days prior to service date and currently there’s no support for this in the settings

Payment automation is dependent on this! Service based businesses usually anchor payments to operational dates (e.g., event date, appointment date, service start date). Users must manually calculate dates like “7 days before event_date,” which is error-prone and slows down automated workflows.
